While it would be a joy for us all to have a separate room, or even a building, to allows us to create the masterpieces that are our miniature figures, sometimes we have to make do with what we have. But oh joy do people make the most of their lot. Below is just a small selection of where people paint their lowliest guardsman and mightiest Primarch (Other classifications are available!).
You may have seen this post that has been up on Facebook over the last couple of weeks. This is the building of some of the events that the club has coming up over the next 12 months so far. These are the dates where someone (The Lead) has requested access to the club to play that is not the usual Monday or Friday night. (Link to request form) This means that there may be free tables that people can use. Contact named Lead to check.
Any Club member has the access to do this and plan something. It does not need to be a full day or use multiple tables it can be what you want. It would be nice if there are at least 2 events a month but there are no hard rules to that, but 2 events give people chance to do something at least once a month. These events are open to all club members and guests (who are expected to pay for the day £10). The exception being the shows we are invited to where we get free entry to the event.
So if you want to plan something this year then let me know. I can confirm the date and help you get access to the building. Help you get things sorted and clarify any questions you have.

18th May Partizan Newark. UK premier show. See the best there is in gaming. We try and sort out transport to keep the visit affordable. Free entrance.
6th and 7th June Napoleonic Quatre Bras Steve Lill and Matthew J Wheelden
28th June D Day Bolt Action. Tym Corbett.
19th July Comic Con. Scott Hull?
26th and 27th July Battle of Shrewsbury held on the actual battlefield where we put on a display of the battle using it to explain what happened. We also do a paint a figure table where we people get a go. Also a Jousting game to add that bit more. It is the club’s way of giving back to the town and has been a very popular event. Paul Glover
20th September Age of Sigmar Spearhead event. Gaming all day. Organised by Owen Flanders.
12th October. The Other Partizan. Newark. Another chance to help support the Club in putting on a game at the best show in the UK. Help in playing the Game and answering questions from visitors. Tim Corbett.
All these are the dates I have for this year but I know other things are being planned.
It is your chance to get that bit more from your club for others and yourself.

This year we have a new challenge for all our club members and friends! Not to be seen to be jumping on the bandwagon of the Bingo Cards, certainly not!
Each participant can claim only one line and the first to submit a completed card will win a prestigious SWS Beanie hat donated by Marcher Models.

No set rules here, complete a Row for a treat from the Tuck Fridge, Complete the lot for a drink of your choice from the Fridge! Hopefully the 1st to complete the whole piece will receive Merch to a value as a special reward! Take lots of photos and get them posted up to document your progress!
Some of the challenges will be easy to you, others might take you out of your comfort zone, but what a great way to do so for the New Year!
Post your completed works on the Forum first! Any questions or box clarifying, direct them to Thomas. No figure repeats on the painting challenges please!

Credit to this daunting building goes to Doug Chamberlain. This is one many that will be making up the cityscape section of the 14 x 4 ft Legions Imperialis table SWS is fielding at Partizan in May 25. All components off the printer, fully assembled and now with a coat of primer. Update to come in the next few months! Exciting to see how these all turn out.
