Hi Everyone.
Just a few words to update the Membership.
Ben Leach and myself have taken on the title role - henceforth we are to be known, at least on WhatsApp, as the Terrainiacs . You can also contact us as individuals via the usual SWS platforms, on the Forum or by a simple ambush at the club.
After an initial inspection the current situation can be summed up as follows:
- Overall we have a lot of terrain (!)
- Much of it needs varying degrees of TLC.
- Some needs binning
- Despite the pleas posted on the adjoining walls to replace terrain pieces in the original box, in many cases this has not been done. Of course once misplaced that location becomes it's new default home - unless it's identified to a specific box - more on that below..
A full assessment will be carried out mid-January followed by further dates when terrain will be painted , repaired and marked under the base with a location reference.
So, "How can the membership help?" we hear you cry.
- Use the I.D Markings once in place.
- Gently place the terrain back in the box as if it was your own.
- Join in on Terrain Days / Evenings ( dates t.b.a.)
- Perhaps donate your own, unwanted terrain.
- Finally, let us know where we're lacking. For example Ian T has already highlighted the need for a desert board (naturally each and every request will be evaluated on cost effectiveness / frequency of use etc. before funds can be granted to us).
