A title from the Lee Brimmicombe-Wood stable, this one authored by Terry Simmo, this adaptation of the usual game engine seen in Downtown, Elusive Victory and Red Storm is set in 1917 from March to May around the trenches of Arras.
I spent the evening sorting out the counters which had spilt in the bag on the journey. There are a LOT of counters.
Then I set up the map. It's not too big, but is covered in small numbered hexes and is very detailed.
Then the first big mistake. I chose to set up for Scenario 1. This has a HUGE number of aircraft units to fly and I quickly realised that I didn't have time to even set this scenario up in the time available. Also I had only a limited idea of what to do once I had got it set up. I decided to do some more reading and perhaps watch a few videos.
Still took ages to pack it all away.
Story to be continued.
15mm Italian Wars action from yesterday evening. Sad to report a Hapsburg victory for Mr. Collyer, ably assisted by Mr. Cornes & my appalling dice rolling. Good fun. Many thanks to Andrew for supplying the armies.
Pics below the fold. Comments welcomed.

Monday night Lion Rampant game v Tim Corbett. His 100yw against my Spanish Moslem. I had to get 1/2 my army off the opposite corner. I failed marginally I got 13 pts away but needed 15pts.
