A quiet night with only three or four tables being used. However, a productive one was had - Andy Collyer taught me and Paul Ireland the intricacies of Chain of Command with a view to getting more players this year, perhaps getting a campaign going. John Geary and Seb had an interesting game of Aliens (see AAR here) and the MESBG gang enjoyed a game or two, then stayed for ages chatting, which is just what the club is for!
Pictures here.
(No cameras in Middle Earth it seems).
Here's what happened at SWS on the 23rd December 2024. The place was just about full of gamers doing what they do.
Another buzzing night at the club on this balmy evening. Lots of historical and scifi/fantasy going on with some board games and an RPG thrown in for good measure and yes, of course there were zombies.. We certainly have a wide choice of games for people to play!
Take a look at the noticeboard for a listing of some minis for sale from one of our prospective members.

A few photos from last nights game versus Tym. The rebel satrap Molon takes on the might of Antiochus III & his Seleucid army & as happened historically, has his ass handed to him. Just to be clear I was playing as Molon.

It was a calm night, calm after the frenetic activity of a packed committee meeting. Games played included Middle Earth, Command at Sea (I think), some Ancient Mediterranean game found on the shelf* (which looked like great fun) and some good old Bolt Action. Two guys came to see what we do and I hope we get to meet Bill and Jem again soon. A few of us had a really good natter about modelling and 3D printing and it was nice to spend some enjoyable time in the presence of like-minded individuals.
